A multi-disciplined team of professional engineers involved in design, fabrication, construction management, PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) Assessment, SIL (Safety Integrity Level) Assessment and Hazop of the 3km of pipework associated with the LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas), Nitrogen, Hydrogen and Cooling Water Systems associated with the Float Glass Production facility in Goole.
Primary duties included the Design management, preliminary & detailed engineering design. Construction management including construction inspection (e.g. environmental, health and safety, welding, testing inspections) contractor management, construction engineering and close-out QA.
We were also heavily involved in facilitating the Written Schemes of Examination in accordance with the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000. This enabled this top tier COMAH Site to identify all safe operating limits, principally pressure and temperature, of their pressure systems, and that those systems had been designed to operate safely under those conditions. Documentation produced by ourselves was open to rigorous assessment by the Health & Safety Executive and third party approval authorities and was said by the HSE Lead spokesman "to be exemplary".
